SMART Alarm

The Hiscall System Monitoring and Alarm Response Tool (SMART) is an automated, proactive solution for remotely managing communications system alarms. SMART simultaneously notifies appropriate personnel of the alarm and launches protocols that lead to rapid issue identification, resolution and tracking. Often, SMART alerts Hiscall to a network alarm even before the Hiscall customer is aware of it.

Based on the severity of the alarm Hiscall SMART delivers 24x7 alarm notification via email, pager, printer, text message and the web, initiates any necessary testing and emails the results of those tests to the designated individuals, who can then analyze the alarm and respond appropriately.

SMART was originally developed in cooperation with the U.S. Navy to monitor and manage communications systems at over 100 Navy, Marine and Coast Guard bases throughout the country.
